Do you struggle with being seen?
This was the topic @Steven Jaggers and I dove into on today's live podcast. Being seen isn't just something we all desire, but something we all need to feel like we truly belong. The paradox is most of us do showcase all of ourselves to be seen out of fear of judgement, being misunderstood or being rejected. In this conversation we break this all apart and discuss different ways that we can expand our ability to be seen, but most importantly to be truly felt. Thanks for posting the replay!!
@Adam Carbary This was a good one!! I am so grateful for both of you being willing to have this conversation and being so vulnerable with yourselves. So many things and here are a few gems I pulled out. So let’s go with me and my medieval nervous system! Lol! Do we all want to be seen? Reminds me so much of all the different masks people have and wear in different situations with different people. It can be so challenging for people to put them down. As they each hold some form of an identity that is being showcased to the world. I loved how you defined what being seen and heard truly means. That it really means being felt. I’m feeling you and you feeling me. And honestly, how impactful that is. Putting others in boxes.. “Being in a partnership is witnessing your partner die1000 times. The morning you wake up and think you know your partner, the relationship has died because you have collapsed the space for their becoming.” Beautiful! As well as the gem about Jaggers, thinking that he was a person that needed a lot of space in relationships then came to the realization that it wasn’t physical space he needed. He needed space from the way they were thinking about him because it was collapsing the space for his becoming. I could never come up with such an eloquent way of saying this, but definitely have felt it. Not being able to hear the voice inside of yourself because you haven’t developed the connection to it. “ when you don’t listen to the voice inside of you that says this is your truth. This is what you need to do. This is what you need to tell the people around you. That voice just becomes quieter. And then you feel stuck or unclear because you can’t hear that voice since you haven’t been in truth with yourself. Then you find yourself belonging in a place with loud voices telling you what you should do, who you should be or what you should become. It’s a painful place to be in.” This podcast was excellent. Think I’ll listen again!
Where the Breath Becomes Prayer
Sacred inhale. Holy exhale. I’m officially down to one in-person breathwork session before certification. Fully prepared to show up like: “Hello, yes, please inhale for my credentials.” 😌🫁

I just wanted to thank you again for doing this! Really love your energy & joy Nadeem. It’s contagious in the best way! Also Jagger is just so calm with such a soothing voice. Love the teamwork between you two! Somatics has been a missing piece for me and I’m very excited to help my nervous system come back online in a balanced way. (Didn’t have a chance to ask if you also teach working with the vagus nerve in practitioner training.) Anyway, cant tell you how much I needed you guys and the universe answered! Sending so much light & love to you both!

@Marilyn Caduri canaries in the coal mine! That certainly resonates! I am in a much better place now than I was in 2019. It’s quite a journey to have to go through and while I do still have what I consider some mild lingering effects, my toxin load is much less. I have been fortunate to have eliminated it from my direct environment which was one of the biggest things besides detox. My heart truly goes out to you. I understand how frustrating it can be. There is a light at the end I just know you will get there! Sending so many good vibes!
Regulating yourself in a crazy world
What do you do to keep sane in this world today? How do you keep grounded? What do you do to let it go and swich your brain off from time to time? And how do you keep the agency and keep on living your lives amidst all this? I´ve been following the news / discussions constantly to get wtf is happening around us / to the humanity - and how could I be part of moving (back?) to sanity together. But it is hard. To not close eyes, but still keep your own head above water. At a time when empathy and seeing things too clearly can become an Achilles heel, but as a person who does not have the option of simply closing their eyes to everything.

I too believe one thing that helps overall is just being more cognizant of the content and media we are consuming. I am much more selective and have noticed it helps protect not only my energy but the vibe that I want to carry out into the world.
@Nadeem Al-Hasan well said sir! 🙏
