Regulating yourself in a crazy world
What do you do to keep sane in this world today? How do you keep grounded? What do you do to let it go and swich your brain off from time to time? And how do you keep the agency and keep on living your lives amidst all this? I´ve been following the news / discussions constantly to get wtf is happening around us / to the humanity - and how could I be part of moving (back?) to sanity together. But it is hard. To not close eyes, but still keep your own head above water. At a time when empathy and seeing things too clearly can become an Achilles heel, but as a person who does not have the option of simply closing their eyes to everything.

@Nadeem Al-Hasan So I´ve noticed. It might not be so hard to just shut your eyes (like it is kinda doable, I quess). I just cannot (will not). Trying to figure out my way of seeing, acting and staying grounded has been the Real Task of last about 2 months (And longer, too, but these 2 have been the real test of longevity, willpower and just ffing wanting to figure it out). I don´t want to be the one who did nothing and is like idk anything about it. But not that one, either, who lost her mind and broke to pieces. I want to learn to be the one, who Is. Stays and sees and feels. Acts. But has peace. Wellwellwell, slowly.. Until something even more crazy happens, I quess. I just so very much wish the sanity would come soon. And peace. To the whole reality.

@Amethyst Rhiannon In my opinion, our views are so different that responding or continuing the discussion is pointless at this point. Let's just say that we disagree. Or at least that's the conclusion I've come to, and I'll "live and let live" and continue on my own path. :)

Hi! Greetings to all of you from Finland. Came here as this physical / somatic side has become the thing I have to get a handle on. Both for myself (I have been in a survival mode for several years, and now, even though the situation [losing a home and the emotional and concrete burden & economic threat it brought with it] is mostly over, the state has got stuck in my body - which is frustrating - which doesn´t help to relax & get rid of it😁 ) and for my work (helping people to find their path). I have iistened the Somatic Arc Framework videos - and oh my they talk to me. Also as that is something I do in my work, but do it intuitively, and have been trying to put in words for over a year now (for my side hustle business I try to make). And suddenly - there it is - you seem to be some kind of wizard of words and saying it as clearly and easily as though it was just a walk in the park [or something super simple]. So respect, man. I envy and admire that clarity you have in your expression & explanations. & Thank you for giving us that all - the words with which grasp something we feel in our guts Oh, and yes, if I get the tension and hyperarousal in my body released, that also would give the space in my head and heart - for creativity, peace, and connection. Which would be super nice to haves (or expressed more seriously, essential for the meaningfulness and colours of life). ❤️ I´m kinda tired of all this sht (being in a fight or flight mode is really energy consuming / exhausting) and so eager to move on already.
