Is Your Week Going To Plan?
What's the plan? Is it working out? Did you have a goal coming in to this week? What was it? Be very specific. If the goal/plan was not specific, it's very unlikely to be happening. We're not far in to the week, so if you get specific now on what we're hoping to achieve to move forward, then you're very likely to nail it. I'm here to help not judge - so stick your plan for the rest of the week in the comments and lets get you to it 💪

I was not specific this week. I am pretty sure that is why nothing happened. Between seasonal allergies, homeschooling, nonprofit work, counseling my teen & young adult son my health has been taking a backseat. I haven't been doing Pilates. I was doing 3-4 hikes a week but that slowed down b/c of allergies. My family is leaving for Oregon Coast this Sunday. I plan to start back with Pilates. I think I should easily be able to do 3 sessions while I am there. I plan to do daily maintenance tomorrow. Maybe there is a quick 5 min-10 min exercise I could do today? Thanks for being so kind and understanding with all of us, Russ!

Thanks, Russ.
I'm Sorry!
Other than ticking over in here for the last couple of months, running this free group has taken a bit of a back seat if I'm honest. And doesn't it show! Like a ghost town in here 👻 So I'm going to get back in to the groove of showing up regularly - not with all the answers, as I don't have them, but hopefully to grow this community and boost the support, engagement, and results people get from being here. What is your number one struggle right now and what do you think might help? let us know in the comments what's going on, what you think you may need to do to make progress - and lets make a plan for you to get some success. Everything worthwhile takes time. It was 9 months of Pilates before I started lifting weights properly again, and a year before I picked up the rugby ball. Dabbling for a few weeks and bailing out is not going to get you results. A progressive plan while assessing and improving your overall lifestyle habits will make for huge change. Most people know what they need to do really, it's just doing it. No one is going to save you, other than you 🫵 So let's go!

I guess I forgot to name my struggle. I think my core is weak. The biggest thing for me is to get started again. I think, Russ, you would say I just need to start out simple. I have been active, but not with Pilates.

Thanks, Russ. It's crazy how a week or two can turn into a few months.

How's Your Week? Challenge Update!
How is your week going so far? To plan, or not so much? Let us know in the comments and make any commitments you feel you need to, to do what you know you should be! 👇 I have so far managed to stick to my goal of getting up earlier, getting in more walks, getting to the gym earlier, and getting more work done 👏 For me, this is week one of no longer travelling to and from Northleach saving me 4 hours per week, and I have already filmed and edited over half of the 14 day mobility challenge, which will start by the end of June. 🤸‍♂️ This extra time carved out of my diary is game changing for what I am able to create. So expect engagement and support here. And expect some changes too. Keep moving, Russ

Got another daily maintenance in today & went on a big hike yesterday.
Imperfect Action
Practicing what I preach 👇 have you taken imperfect action lately? I've not been to the gym this week so far 😱 This is huge for me. 3 x per week consistently has helped me get to where I am with mobility and strength. Plus a Pilates session and HIIT. I very rarely miss 1 session. This week I missed Tuesday AM due to work. Last night (Wednesday) I got very little sleep due to a feverish toddler. So missing session 2 happened. But, I decided to practice what I preach and take some imperfect action. I should have been deadlifting. But instead I did a 45 minute fasted walk this glorious morning and felt much better about everything. I won't lie, I was close to throwing in the towel, sulking, and doing nothing. But I went. Sometimes you just have to do something, even if it's nothing like your plan. Let us know in the comments if you've taken imperfect action lately 👇 Keep moving! Russ

Yes, I also had that happen I think last week. Got my daily maintenance in yesterday and felt much better. I think your fasted walk sounds like a good reset.

I live on a small ranch with my teenage son and husband. We are trying to make fitness be a priority in our family. (Pilates & outside chores.)
