Just learning all about Pilates for back pain.
A little about myself. Had a minor stroke January 25, was very fortunate as it only affected my speech muscles a little. Anyway I stopped smoking and started to exercise by walking/jogging daily after being sedentary for a few years working in front of a computer. Well I over done it and my lower back went. Similar to what Russ said about if I coughed I would have to brace myself. Anyway that was 6 months ago. Been to 3 or 4 physio's which just seem to aggravate my back pain. Doctor gave me 100 codeine for back pain, of which I took none. I know I sit way too much and now have bilateral groin pain. Which I 100% sure is due too back pain and sitting too much. So I have wound up here :). Sorry for the long post, but now you know a little more about why I am here.

Thanks @Russ Walker and @Donna Koch , all I eventually would like to be able to do is the minimum health authority requirement of 150 min per week, daily brisk walking and some strength exercises like body weight squats, push ups etc. I don't think I'm expecting too much of myself at 70 :)

Thank you for these sessions Russ. I won't be doing them just yet, as I am a complete beginner and want to learn more about whether we should expect no lower back pain or just some and how much we should be easing our self into it.
