How to tackle the endless stream of brilliantly useless business ideas
So, a lot of people in here suffer from that, and I say suffer, because it can really get distracting, annoying and totally screw your life. I am talking about the always shiny, new, far-better-than-what-I-do-now-for-sure business ideas. Sticking to a business long enough for it to actually have time to grow and become a success is a real struggle for ADHD entrepreneurs. There is always something coming up that just seems to be so much better. The dopamine trap of the next new thing lures us all in. And it does that with me. I am at a point, where it is becoming painful. I know that it does not get me any closer to success to drop everything and start a new business every four weeks (or even more often), but I still get all these ideas that scream into my face: I am so good, you have to make me happen! And of course, they don't stop screaming. For a while, I just ignored them and yes, they stop screaming at some point (usually when another, newer, shinier idea starts screaming). But they still come up and bother me. Especially as there is this thought in the back of my mind, the WHATIF?-bat, slamming me in the face whenever I try to fight down one of these ideas. What if, this time, this is the one-million-dollar idea. What if, it has to be done right now, because in half a year it might be too late and someone else has done it and got the million. What if, this is the one thing I will be able to continue, because it gets not boring like all the other things, I tried so far. What if, this is the thing that starts earning money after a month instead of working on the project for years, not knowing if it will ever yield any results. OK. So, now what? I thought, why not work with my ideas, instead of against them? Let's give them the time and attention they are screaming for. But paired with an objective analysis. So here is, how this might look like (and this is just an idea (again, ideas 🙈), it might look different for you): 1. Write down all business ideas you had so far (not matter if you acted on them or not). Everything that ever came to mind as "I could do this to earn some money". 2. Now answer a couple of questions for each of these ventures:

100% 😂😂 Totally has destroyed my life before lol. But hey, I have a Very wide variety of job experiences 😆 Not only do I love what I’m doing right now and have felt more fulfillment than I ever have in any previous career choice or job. But I dug myself in Such a Deep hole financially myself, and my parents money to get going that I have no choice BUT to succeed 😆 Would not recommend for everybody, and definitely takes a certain ability in your life to not be down and depressed all the time lol. But it’s worked for me so far 😂 Motivated Very well! 😅
What does it feeeeel like?
When you imagine feeling consistently focused, not perfect, just steady and in flow... What would actually be different in your body as you move through the day? How your shoulders feel at your desk How your breath changes mid-task Does your jaw unclench? How tired (or not) you feel at night What comes up for you when you feel into this?

I think I grind my teeth and clench my jaw a lot when I’m stressed and unproductive. Whenever I have a problem with TMJ, it always in a heightened time of stress in my life 😅 So my jaw stays loose when I’m in the flow. I am also just happier, less depressed 😂
Doing More Marketing Is Not The Answer
Something I see a lot is people feeling like their marketing isn’t working, so the instinct is to add more. More content. More platforms. More strategies. And honestly, that usually makes things worse, not better. Most of the time, the issue isn’t effort, it’s focus. The message isn’t fully clear yet, or the channel doesn’t really match the audience, so instead of fixing that, we stack more tactics on top. What tends to work better is slowing down and simplifying. One clear message, delivered consistently, on one channel where your audience already pays attention. A simple check I like to use is: - Do people instantly understand what I do? - Do they know who it’s for? - Am I giving this strategy enough time before switching again? Marketing starts to work when it feels intentional, not scattered. Have you ever seen better results after doing less and focusing more? Leave a comment

Thanks for this message! I do have to say that as I started out my business I realized I wasn’t going to go anywhere unless I did some marketing. And I would say it paid off at first. But I didn’t see an ROI, yet the things I learned from my marketing team was invaluable, and I have been able to do some of what I learned by myself, and it has been extremely helpful. So I have taken a step back from using a marketing team for now, and just doing what I can do on my own. And it has helped a ton! Allowing me to focus more on other projects and activities. So I do agree with you! Thanks!

Maybe you kept going through things no one else could see. Before rushing into “new year, new goals,” here’s an invitation to slow the moment down: 💚 What actually worked for you this year? (even if it was inconsistent) 💚 Where did your energy naturally flow? 💚 What drained you more than it gave back? This isn’t about judging the year. It’s about listening to it. As you look toward the new year, you don’t need a full plan yet. You might just need a few gentle anchors: • fewer goals, more capacity • systems that support your brain • space for rest without guilt • rhythms instead of rigid resolutions Your nervous system doesn’t reset on January 1st - and that’s okay. You’re allowed to enter the new year honestly, not optimistically.
