The scale is information, not the whole story
First off, yesterday I exceeded 8,000 steps (8,426)! I know having that minimum expectation of movement in the middle of the day rather than the actual steps is what matters but the numbers serve as the proof. 🙌 Did the correct week of total body today — hallelujah! It was still hard as I’m still feeling the soreness in my legs from Tuesday. I also love that these include core work, since I’ve been adding it onto Upper Days (like on Monday) and today I’m shorter on time. Today the scale was UP!! 123 lbs which for me is higher than my usual (120-121 is pretty steady for me these days). This happens around ovulation for me, and it’s time for that. This is just proof of how tracking and knowing your body can feel super empowering instead of sending you into a spiral. Because to be honest, I feel REALLY freaking lean today! I usually don’t see my abs pop this much. Just a reminder that the scale is a piece of info — not the entire story! Have a wonderful day my lovely humans! Xo

2 mile walk yesterday
I got 2 miles on my walking pad at work yesterday. I was supposed to do some yoga but was so emotionally exhausted and just stayed in bed. I just lost my grandmother on Sunday and I'm a therapist so it's been a lot this week. Things feel very heavy. So thankful to lean into this group and get my workouts in

@Jenna Bower I feel you on all of this, I hate to be still and would rather distract myself. I think training new people is one of my favorite distractions, and I hope that service helps you feel fulfilled today. Looking forward to something is so therapeutic 💓
What stops quitting
Consistency - what brings me back I believe are my habits. My workouts etc have become a part of who I am. It’s hard to remember back when it wasn’t. I must of had sooo much time in the am lol but seriously it’s become such a habit that it’s no longer about quitting. It’s like showering or brushing my teeth with regards to working out and am routine. Staying connected to community keeps me motivated and I’m not alone.

The routines, seeing us as someone who does the work, and being part of a like-minded and inspiring circle does make a difference for sure!
Leg day
Man I'm nursing a cold. It's more of a pain. It's there but barely. I can still function and work but sometimes it's very bothersome. Has anyone else dealt with this?
