Customer Outreach integration for Retail POS
Howdy - I’m working on a project to build outreach agents for small-to-medium retail stores. The goal is to leverage customer, inventory, and sales data from their POS to create automated workflows that drive measurable results. I’m looking for advice on which agents/workflows to start with—ones that: - Have the highest measurable KPIs (sales, repeat visits, etc.) - Show ROI in the shortest time horizon Some ideas I’m considering: - Post-purchase follow-ups & upsells - Dormant customer reactivation - Seasonal promo campaigns I’m keeping it lightweight on the email side (sending directly through the store’s Gmail rather than a full ESP), so workflows that work well in that setup would be especially helpful. Would love to hear what’s worked best for others or any creative ideas you’ve seen in this space!

@Frank van Bokhorst Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify — in my case I’m working with Lightspeed which provides an API, and stores can provide consent fairly quickly. Are you mainly concerned about POS systems without APIs, or other data/consent issues that might block automated workflows?
The million-dollar messaging pattern…
(It’s obvious when you see it) When crafting messaging, most AI Founders focus on the packaging: • Attention-grabbing hooks • big bold ideas • viral closes But they're overlooking the foundation: What their message actually communicates. The market has evolved. We've gone from: Paying to do things → paying NOT to do things I mean look around: • ChatGPT → We pay NOT to research/write/brainstorm • Virtual Assistants → We pay NOT to manage admin work • Copywriting Services → We pay NOT to write our own ideas • Uber → We pay NOT to drive or park Do you see the pattern? So when your messaging is: "We'll help you do something better, faster, or more efficiently." Prospects think: ā€œugh… I’m still paying to do this sh*t.ā€ But if your messaging is: ā€œWe’ll take care of this so you never have to do this againā€ Now you’re in the game. Don’t market your AI service. ↳ Market the elimination of effort. Prospects, me, you, and everyone else have ONE thing in common: We pay for the things we hate doing. We don’t pay to do these things better, faster, or more efficiently. So, align the messaging of your AI service with ELIMINATION instead. Your messaging is the tip of the iceberg. When you get it right, you don't crack the iceberg. You melt it. And when an iceberg melts, it lifts everything around it. __ If you enjoyed this, follow me on LinkedIn for more marketing stuff for AI Founders. I hope this helps, Dan šŸ¤

Thanks Dan - I like this approach. An unfortunate reality if you ask me, but we might as well take advantage of it from a marketing perspective.

Nothing is Impossible
With AI and automation, nothing is truly impossible. Every challenge just needs the right workflow. Even ā€˜impossible’ itself says I’m possible. What’s one automation or chatbot you once thought couldn’t be built, but actually turned out possible?

A custom real estate market report (video, accurate stats, and voiceover from my clone) delivered to a prospect upon the completion of a form.

@Chad Samuel That's the goal!
Looks like Apify finally killed Apollo scrapers
Only one on the store is the official Apollo.io scraper. And it's 20x more expensive than the most popular third-party actor on the site. Definitely had plenty of automations that would trigger off filling a form with an Apollo search URL. RIP

šŸš€Milestone Unlocked! šŸŽ‰
šŸš€ Landed my first AI Automation client – we’re streamlining their lead generation so they can focus on closing deals, not chasing leads. This is proof that AI = growth engine. šŸ”„ A special thanks to @Nate Herk šŸ™Œ for the inspiration and guidance—your content and insights have been a real game-changer in this journey. šŸ‘‰ If AI could automate one task in your business, what would you choose?

Congratulations - I hope to achieve this in the next 2 months as well. If AI could automate something in MY business - it would be targeting qualified and sale-ready homeowners.
