Another morning session 🚶‍♀️
One more walk done! Even though I had less than 6 hours sleep, I tried pulling through! @Lena Nguyen thanks for the spiritual support 🙏🫶🏻 Today was probably the hardest walk I‘ve done in a while, not because of difficulty but due to my body not being in great condition. So it turned into a smaller route and I tried to keep my pace from yesterday (didn’t achieve that 💯) My brain seems fried, so hopefully it will be better after a quick meal and refresh before my work shift starts later on today. ☺️

🏆 Saturday Win: The Plot Twist I Didn’t See Coming
If you've followed my journey for a while, you know my default setting is usually: work harder, push harder, do more. 😅 So it's kind of funny that one of my biggest wins lately has come from doing the exact opposite. When I started jogging 16 days ago, my heart rate would quickly climb into the higher zones because my brain wanted to treat every run like a competition. Today, I spent 15 minutes and 36 seconds in Zone 2 with an average heart rate of 136 BPM. Nothing about that sounds exciting on paper. I didn't run faster. I didn't run farther. I didn't set a speed record. But what I did do was stay in control. For someone who is learning to run, improve endurance, and prepare for future HYROX training, that's a huge win. It's proof that my body is adapting and becoming more efficient. As I get seasoned, the more I realize fitness isn't always about seeing how hard you can push. Sometimes it's about having the patience to let your body learn, adapt, and grow. Funny enough, that lesson applies to a lot more than running. 💪🏃🏻‍♀️ What's something you've gotten better at by slowing down instead of speeding? Comment below ⬇️

I was feeling inspired to go for a push
RowErg 5 mins warm-up 2mins moderate, 1 min hard, repeat 3 sets Finished with 3 mins moderate, 2 mins hard 2 mins cool down. What a way to break a sweat & get your blood pumping at 7am. Finished this morning's workout with 10 minutes mobility. I got my morning sun as well as I walked home after. Happy weekend everybody 😬

🐟 Mom’s High-Protein Low-Carb Steamed Tilapia & Kelp Noodles
One of my favorite meals growing up, with a macro-friendly twist! This dish is packed with protein, loaded with volume from vegetables and kelp noodles, and keeps carbs low while still delivering tons of flavor. 🍽️ Makes 1 Serving Macros ✅ 426 Calories ✅ 51g Protein ✅ 46g Net Carbs* ✅ 18g Fat (*Most of the carbs come from the vegetables, dried lily flowers, wood ear mushrooms, and sauces.) Ingredients Protein: - 137g Tilapia loin Noodles & Vegetables - 318g kelp noodles - 28g dried wood ear mushrooms (rehydrated) - 84g dried lily flowers (rehydrated) - White onion, sliced - Purple shallots, sliced (Optional) - Fresh garlic, minced - Fresh ginger, sliced - Lemon slices Sauce & Seasonings - 1 tsp vegetable oil - 1 tsp sesame oil - 1 tsp black sesame oil - 2 tsp soy sauce - 2 tsp oyster sauce - 9g hoisin sauce - 5ml Chinese red vinegar - 3ml Chinese cooking rice wine - 1 tsp chicken bouillon - 1 tsp organic cane sugar - 10g sriracha (optional) - Directions 1️⃣ Rehydrate the wood ear mushrooms and lily flowers according to package directions. Cut the ends of the lily flowers because it has a hard stem. 2️⃣ Heat vegetable oil in a pan and stir-fry: - Garlic - Ginger - White onion - Purple shallots - Wood ear mushrooms - Lily flowers 3️⃣ Add: - Kelp noodles - Soy sauce - Oyster sauce - Rice wine - Red vinegar - Chicken bouillon Stir-fry until everything is combined and heated through. 4️⃣ Finish the noodle mixture with: - Hoisin sauce - Sesame oil - Black sesame oil Set aside. 5️⃣ Place tilapia in a steamer and top with: - Onion - Shallots - Ginger - Lemon slices Semi cook and steam for approximately 15 minutes and remove all the garnishes. 6️⃣ Place the semi steamed tilapia in a dish. Put all the cooked items from direction 2️⃣. Steam for another 30 minutes and enjoy! If you want spice add sriracha on top. 💡 Macro-Friendly Tip Want even more protein? Increase the tilapia portion to 6–8 oz or add shrimp. The kelp noodles add tons of volume for very few calories, making this a filling meal while staying within your calorie goals.

BBB friends, confession time… 😆
This past week I only made it to the gym ONE time. Yep, one lonely little workout. But before anyone revokes my fitness card, I’ve been hitting 10K+ steps every day, so I’m counting that as a win! 🚶‍♀️🎉 My excuse? I’ve been up to my eyeballs in glue guns, ribbons, and decorations making centerpieces for my niece’s graduation. Apparently crafting is a full-body workout when you’re carrying boxes, chasing supplies, and stress-walking through the craft store aisles. 😂 So while I may not have been lifting weights, I’ve definitely been lifting centerpieces! 💪🌸🎓 Here’s to getting back to the gym this week… unless another family event decides I need to train for the Craft Olympics. 🤣

@Faith Helg this post made me laugh! 😂 First of all, nobody is revoking your fitness card. Hitting 10K+ steps every day is still a huge win. Movement is movement, and consistency doesn’t only count when it’s inside a gym. 👏 Honestly, carrying boxes, hauling supplies, decorating, and running around for a graduation party sounds like its own version of functional fitness. 💪📦 Craft Olympics might actually be a real sport at this point! 😂 What I love most is that you were using your time to create something special for your niece and make memories with family. Those moments matter too. ❤️ Be proud of the steps you got in and the joy you brought to your family. The gym will still be there this week, but your consistency never left. Keep showing up, one step at a time! 🙌💕🎓✨
