Happy Tool Watch Tuesday!
There is a certain magic about the Casio G-Shock Model GWM5610. You take it out of the box where it has been slumbering in the dark for a few weeks. The screen is dark without display. And that is when the magic happens. The first light hits the dial and the watch immediately wakes up with correct time, day, and date display! Magic! No worries, no time lost fiddling with resetting the date because of the preceding short month, Daylight Savings Time switch, or other nonsense when in a hurry out the door, or anything else. Simply get up and go! Magic!
Solar Powered with Radio-controlled, Multi Band 6 Reception of Six Time Calibration Signals and 31 Time Zones (48 cities) around the world. When fully charged, the GWM 5610 can run for about 10 months in complete darkness with power saving mode turned on. If it is stored without any light exposure, that sleep mode will stretch the total battery life to nearly two years (22 months). Not to even mention all of the other stopwatch, alarms, and other features. Or its resilience and toughness. Or Water Resistant to 200m (660 feet).
And that is why my Casio G-Shock Model GWM5610-1 and its sister watch the Casio G-Shock Model GW6900-1 with the same features are two of my very favorite watches.
Best wishes for a Tremendous Tool Watch Tuesday! 😀
