Strong Dad Daily Habit: Hydration
Strong Dad Daily Habit #1: Hydration Make sure you’re consuming at a minimum, 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water per day. Not everything you drink should be water. Mix in electrolytes somewhere throughout your day. For this, I recommend Drink Zyn Hydration which is packed with all of your electrolytes, vitamin d, zinc, and turmeric to help combat inflammation. Supplements

Etc... just looking to be sure I round out and am getting the vitamins and minerals I need. Also any dynamite quick breakfast meal ideas that gets you going for the day?
Planning
As a dad I’ve made it a priority to make sure my daughter has nutritious meals and snacks. I haven’t always done a great job of that myself. But I’m realizing more and more how much she is watching and if I don’t do a better job myself, I’m worried she will develop some of my bad nutritional habits. In the last couple months I’ve been doing a really good job of packing lunches for work which has really cut down on the bad snacking I’ve done and the poor choices I’ve made in the cafeteria at work. Snacking is always my weakness. What does everyone keep at home as some healthy, but satisfying snacks? I don’t think carrots are going to scratch the itch…

Training: Training for the purpose of vanity is not enough. Have a clear cut goal, define why it’s important to you, and give yourself a deadline. Write this all down and keep somewhere visible like your fridge. Nutrition: Supplementing with a solid whey protein isolate can help plug the gaps throughout your day and ensure adequate protein ingestion around your training. Parenting / Lifestyle: Lead by example, not words. Involve your little ones with your positive behaviors and let them develop alongside you. Mindset: Be your biggest critic and cheerleader. You need to be able to keep your ego in check, but confidence high.

Weekend Nutrition Tip
Allow yourself to enjoy your favorite foods at times. As much as we need discipline, we need balance at times. If you know you’re going to be eating out, make sure to get a good workout in the day of and account for the extra calories early on. I know I am taking the wife out on a date, going to enjoy some fine Italian cuisine, but I am going to get a great workout in, and keep my carbohydrate and fat intake lower earlier in the day to account for the extra calories. We can enjoy ourselves and make it fit our goals! 💪
