Science of Gratitude: What are you most grateful for?
Studies show gratitude supports neuroplasticity, regulates stress hormones, shifts mindset from negative to positive, reinforces positive neural connectivity, and improves decision making, emotional regulation and empathy. Take a moment to exercise gratitude for your mind and body. When you share, it's critical to FEEL the body sensations as you share and imagining the things that give life to you for it's intended affects. Comment below: What are all the things you are grateful for?
You are Not Your Body, Thoughts, or Emotions
Next time you feel exhausted and say "I am exhausted" catch yourself. Instead, say "I have a feeling of XYZ" or "I have a thought XYZ" to separate the I that is "you." Your ego's current reactive state is not you. Whatever you say after the words "I am . . . " are VERY POWERFUL. So choose wisely. ๐Ÿ˜Š ACTION: Notice the next time you say "I am . . " and what follows. If it's not empowering, choose other words. If it was empowering give yourself a pat on the back. Then comment below what word you said after "I am" and what you changed it to. Let's inspire community together!
