I have been practicing meditation for a long while and still struggled with mindfulness in everyday setting but starting to attune now I've been practicing qigong. Yay.
When will You Rest Next? (Mojo Monday Weekly Challenge 5)
I got an email from a community member sharing " Leaders are often asked to stretch, to raise their hand, to do more. We’re rarely asked to do less, say no, or pause. I’m deeply interested in how we navigate that tension between ambition and sustainability." All too often we don't rest. We finish and keep moving to the next thing, afraid to slow down or *gasp* stop. In spirit of going slower to rest and recharge, here's your challenge for week 5. MOJO MONDAY WEEKLY CHALLENGE 5 Block your next period of time off to truly relax and rest. Vacations may or may not count if you don't get real rest. If you accept, comment below "ACCEPT". When done, reply back to your accept comment "DONE" and comment on 2 other people's posts. If you completed Mojo Monday Weekly Challenge 4--let us know here on this post! And comment on at least 2 other people's post! Each Monday, you'll receive a weekly challenge practice to do in the next 48 hours that will help you look and feel 20 years younger. Challenge runs through end of September 2025. 2 more weeks!

Accept - every Tuesday I go to a 40 minute guided yoga nidra (yogic sleep) class apparently the equivalent of 4 hours sleep! On 4/5 October I am going on a somatics weekend retreat locally - deep relaxation and rolling around the floor letting your body follow what it wants after starting with the slowest guided mindful movement that we naturally did as children inter woven with mindfulness meditation. I can't wait!

Overall I think the white will appeal to more people. Personally, I love the white one's sense of serenity but with the the strength to defend on times when you need to stand up for yourself.

Tracking time is really challenging for me and remembering to check in how I feel. I've been trying to work on this with my therapist for quite a long while now and I have some kind of anxiety blocking me from doing this. Although my therapist ask me to write old fashioned lines with the word boundaries until my cringing body movement to the word ceased that I have been struggling with even just mentioning it which I did on Friday after our meditation practice and I think it might have shifted something as I certainly let out a few tears. I will see how it goes.

@Anna Choi Sorry, yes a bit of a jumbled message, I'll try to explain. Transitioning to start something is a big challenge for me so I prefer to use other people's structure (they make decisions on what is required, by when and when to stop) and a lot of people pleasing but I now know this makes me really sad and body pain because I block how I feel. When on my own I get tense and make myself do something that I feel I ought to do, than what I want to get done, then continue to stumble from one task to the next what I see in that moment without checking the time or how I feel or what the priority is. Or I get into a routine that does the same thing over and over without checking if this task needs doing now when other things are a bigger priority that I worry about doing, so just do something that doesn't need decision or responsibility. Once I do start I get absorbed in completing the task and tend to add lots more to it too as getting started is sooo challenging, so once I finally start I don't want to go back to it even if it makes me unwell. My intention is to plan and set time boundaries before I start of how long I want to spend on a specific task so that I can set alarms for ending it or have a break. Then have a conscious check in how I actually feel as I block it from the tension I have from anxiety, over thinking or hyper focus on the task. I never get a sense of achievement for completing anything. I just berate myself for always being late, not doing what I need to do and being exhausted. My starting point has just been allowing myself to do some nice things like going for a walk but then I don't want to come back, hence why I need boundaries!!
Release Negative Energy: Korean Qigong
Thanks everyone for your feedback. Here was the winning video from the Youtube topics to enjoy! The winning qigong class time was 15 minutes. While this video is 60 min, will also create 5, 10, and 15 minute versions in the coming months . . . Each week I'll be dropping a youtube (under 15 min) in this group (ideally on Wed), so stay tuned! Comment below: Have you watched this video? If so, how did you feel after watching, even if not the whole hour? If not, and you want to, let me know by when you will!
