Day 4 Power of 100% - Get it Done Challenge
Day 4 challenge is to time yourself as you complete action 3 with 100% presence, observing any resistance that arise, and respond to those challenges to get your action done. Respond below: 1. How many minutes did your action take? 2. Rate yourself on a scale of 1-10, while completing action 3 of how 100% present you were (1: you got lost in your thoughts, not in body, not present, 10: fully present, feeling all senses, allowed resistance to flow through) and anything you discovered or observed in taking action 3. 3. Comment on 2 other people's posts.

My session lasted 22 minutes, with the first 2 minutes dedicated to preparation. I would rate myself a 9. I was very focused and felt fully connected with my body. My thoughts drifted away briefly 2,3 times, just for a short blink. The sensation was almost as if I were floating. After completing the meditation, I feel exceptionally calm and focused. An excellent experience.

@Anna Choi Yes, that’s true, thank you. When I was driving a van through Italy, where the roads are quite narrow and I had to overtake a line of trucks, I took a deep breath out and gently focused… I passed them with ease, as if I were in a vacuum.

1. My strategy is to pause, rethink why meditation is so important to me, and recall and really feel how I feel after meditating. With a calm mind, everything that follows flows smoothly. 2. Movement grounded me and deepened my sense of determination.

@Tobias Kerzenmacher Thank you Tobias. I don’t actually have any trouble with the length of the meditation. 20 minutes feels just right for me. The problem is that I’m often in a hurry and feel like I’m running out of time, even though I know that meditating helps me work more easily and feel calmer throughout the day. Because of that, I end up skipping it. I can try doing it before showering, but the idea of meditating when I feel fresh, right after the shower seems nice. That’s why I was placing the meditation between my shower and breakfast and I think it could become a really nice routine.

@Anna Choi Thank you. Meditation is my challenge. What I listed is mainly about where to place it in my daily timeline, which is what causes me the most difficulty. So: 1. I will meditate after showering and before breakfast. 2. I’ll put an additional reminder on the fridge to remind me before breakfast. 3. I’ll check it off in my notebook once it’s done. 4. I’ll consciously notice how good I feel after meditating.

@Brooke Haynes I meditate from time to time, but with all my responsibilities I often struggle to find the time. I’d really like to be more consistent, because I know how nourishing it is for me.

@Tobias Kerzenmacher Yes, Insight Timer is great. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, guided meditations feel very supportive and help soothe my overactive mind. When I’m already calm, I enjoy meditating on my own.
