3 Ways to Build Lasting Habits
Latest YouTube drop here: https://youtu.be/3qLrz-GwQB4 on 3 Ways to Build Lasting Habits Articles trending on "Why Resolutions Don't Work" point to humans avoiding resolutions or goal setting because deep down, they don't want to fail... yet again. Does this sound familiar? Do you quit before you've even started? Whether you fear failing at goals or new habits, both are extremely valuable tools to manifest your greatest dreams. How do you build lasting resolutions, goals, or habits that will stick? Here's a Linked In Article on 3 Ways to *Actually* Build Lasting Habits here as well. Comment below: What did you learn from the video or blog?

@Anna Choi So sorry I've been absent! I've had major technical issues but hopefully things are just about fixed and I'll be catching up!

I really like the video, and everything you said aligns very much with my own goals and is good guidance for the moment I'm in right now, which is mildly managed chaos. From a big picture standpoint, I am one of those who sets intentions for the year rather than resolutions, and what that means for me is spending time to focus my mindset on what will be my larger goals for the year, and then work backward to set up smaller milestone goals throughout the year. And without realizing it, I think I've employed the "touch something" and 'tiny steps' as a way to keep my goals within view. Like doing tapping or intestinals while the coffee brews, or doing hip stretches while on hold or waiting for a page to load on my computer. I'll be thinking of your suggested steps to see how I can better refine my own checklists!
What are your Top 3 Goals in 2026?
Let us support you! Be specific as possible to more easily manifest it. These can include life goals, business goals, and habits you're thinking about or visualizing for this year.

My top three: - Freedom through better fitness and overall health for myself, - Prosperity for my business (including finally getting re-opened!) - Making whatever changes needed to best care for my mom

@Anna Choi • Freedom in health means not being restricted by chronic pains or lack of stamina. I don’t want to look at days off as recovery days, I want increased bodily strength and endurance so I can do all the things! • Prosperity in my business looks like a fully functioning wholesale production studio with skilled craftspeople making my designs and fulfilling a constant stream of orders, a thriving retail gallery filled with my work and a curated selection from guest artists, well attended community events and teaching, and the ability to develop internships and apprenticeships to support other emerging entrepreneurs. • This third goal is the main impetus for the first two, as it’s highly likely my mom will need to move in with me at least temporarily while we save funds in case she needs skilled nursing or memory care in the future (her independent living rent keeps getting higher but her income doesn’t!). I want the time and energy to be able to give her the attention she needs as well as joyful experiences.
What are your New Year's Intentions?
I’m not one for New Years Resolutions- I rather prefer to set intentions. Some might argue that there the same, but the framing, for me, is the difference. How about you? Do you make a list of New Year’s resolutions? Or intentions? Share them if you like, or any thoughts on them!

@Heather Kohlmeister I love that! I also try to make time for create sessions, specifically outside of the creative work I do in my career work - I find it meditative and often inspiring! Do you have a favorite art or craft that you already do, or are excited to explore?
Where Did You Find Peace This Week?
I know I'm not the only person always keeping an eye out to find or cultivate joy in my daily life, and that is a wonderful practice. But where do you find your peace, and even better, did you maybe discover a little peace in an unexpected place? For me the two can go hand in hand, but also hold very distinct experiences. I found joy in noticing the vibrant birdsong while walking through a parking lot yesterday, and unexpected peace soon after (sharing in the comments!).

If my house guests leave early enough I'll be there on the 28th! And for last week's Mojo Monday, I have been much more intentional about finding moments where I can turn mundane activities into meditation (this week: vaccuuming, teeth brushing, and during prescribed PT exercises), and I have begun journaling more frequently again. There has been a lot of overwhelm recently, and even just stopping to take three deep breaths (pausing at the top and bottom, with a longer exhale) has felt like a solid meditation, and has resulted in more calm and focus. 🙏

@Monica Downen While I can't join what sounds like a wonderful gathering, I am grateful for the reminder that it's almost Solstice! I've been so entrenched in work deadlines that I lost track of the actual date. Thank you!
