✨ I AM CHOOSING MY YESES CAREFULLY 🦋 I AM CHOOSING INTENTION OVER OBLIGATION
✨ DAY 43: THE POWER OF NO ✨ One Area Where I Say Yes Too Quickly: Taking on extra responsibilities, helping others solve problems, giving my time, energy, and support before first checking whether I actually have the capacity. How This Affects My Time and Energy: While it often comes from a place of kindness, it can leave me stretched, overwhelmed, and trying to carry more than I realistically should. It takes time away from my priorities, my own wellbeing, my goals, and sometimes even the people and projects that matter most. What Stood Out To Me: I rarely say yes because I have extra time. I usually say yes because I want to help. The problem is that good intentions do not create more hours in the day. One of the biggest lessons I am learning is that every time I say yes to something, I am also saying no to something else. The question is: 👉 Is what I am saying yes to aligned with the life I am trying to build? I often say yes because I care about people, want to avoid disappointing them, and genuinely want to help. When I say yes too quickly, it often costs me my focus, energy, peace of mind, and time for my own priorities. My Top 3 Situations: ✨ Taking responsibility for things that are not mine to carry. ✨ Committing to helping before checking my capacity. ✨ Taking on extra tasks when my schedule is already full. Today I proved: 👉 I AM someone who reflects honestly on where my time and energy go because I understand that protecting my peace, priorities, and purpose requires intentional decisions, not automatic yeses. 🤍 Sometimes the most loving thing we can say is: "No." "Not right now." "Let me think about it." Because every intentional no creates space for a more meaningful yes. 🎉 And as I write this, I realise we are officially past the halfway mark of the 84-Day Challenge. 42 days ago, I started this journey looking for clarity. Since then I've learned more about my identity, my patterns, my boundaries, my vision, and the person I am becoming.
