A lot of people I've talked to (including myself) have been struggling with brain fog and midday crashes.
Disclaimer: The following isn’t health advice.
It’s just an idea of what I’m implementing in my life to combat brain fog.
You can take a few things from this or nothing at all.
What causes midday crashes and brain fog in the first place?
- eating meals high in refined carbs
- dehydration
- caffeine crashes
- poor sleep
- being sedentary for too long
- mental overload
- chronic stress
Here are some little habits you can implement to achieve mental clarity that lasts the entire day:
general daily habits
- journal - offload anything on your mind
- allow time to let your mind wander
throughout the day
- avoid large carb-heavy meals
- drink enough water!!!
- when it’s time to focus, focus. eliminate all distractions
- move your body during breaks
morning
- short morning walk
- 1 cup of water in the morning
- balanced breakfast with protein + fat
evening
- stop scrolling before bed
- consistent sleep schedule
- dim lights before bed
