Trying to unwind after the work week while enjoying some more new (to me) pieces. Brooks Brothers sport coat and Beckett Simonon's Dean oxfords in suede. Yes, that's oxfords with jeans 😲 1) in brown suede I thought I could "get away with it," and 2) I'm excited to wear them for the first time and I don't want to wait 😂 It's a cool cloudy day here, and I'm hoping to enjoy the weather and read outside for a while today.

I took my niece and nephew out (they’re adults) to a cool nightclub last night. 40 years ago I was no stranger to the nightlife. I dressed appropriately for the venue. Black button down, grey slacks, houndstooth sports jacket, and Capezio Jazz Oxfords (for dancing). The website stated a dress code of “dress to impress”. I was not impressed. Shorts, tee shirts, flip flops were in abundance. I was the only guy in the place with a sport coat. I had some guys compliment me on the jacket, asked me what I do, and even ask me if I owned the place. I guess times have changed. 🤷‍♂️
