🧥 Weekly Challenge 2: Step Up Your Fall Style
This week - it’s all about textures and details. Fall is when you put away the lightweight stuff and start adding depth - wool, tweed, corduroy, flannel. 👉 Your challenge: Pick one outfit this week that highlights fall texture - maybe a wool blazer, a suede jacket, or even a flannel shirt with some structure. Then: 📸 Snap a quick photo (or describe your outfit) and share it here. The goal isn’t perfection - it’s getting intentional with your fall looks. 💬 Let’s see who can make the best use of texture this week.

Give Thanks
Good Morning Gentlemen , First let me say I and not here to discuss of force religion on anyone. I want to say today, whatever faith you hold on to, whatever belief you have. Take some time today to give thanks. Some of us have gone through a lot, some of us are still dealing with things in our lives. But you are far better off than where you were. Nobody promised us this journey, this time in our lives would be easy. But you are still better off than where you were, and better off than others. The mere fact that you are here in this community of gentlemen is something to be thankful for. Out of all the websites and app in this worldwide web, you chose this one. And look, you have a vast amount of brothers and some sisters in this community. This one thing to be thankful for is you are not alone. So sometime during the day please take a few moments, reflect and give thanks. The past you can’t change, the future is uncertain, the present is a gift. This is why we call it the present, because it’s a gift that was never promised. This morning I am going to church to give thanks, and the one thing that I am thankful for is all of you. Thank you for being here, becoming my brothers and sisters, and for the friendship and fellowship that you have shown me. To this I am thankful.
Simple. Solid
While I have done a lot of posts about blending patterns some times a solid ensemble can be impactful. Most of the time it feels like a guy is just putting in little effort when wearing a solid ties and shirt. But with the mixture of color and texture blending, it can work pretty well. I tried that here with mixing some colors that pair very well together. Dark green with light blue and dark green with grey. I built this from the CT blue Oxford basket weave shirt. Added a medium grey MTM Oct 1995 suit (technically not completely solid since it has a ghosted windowpane) then chose the green CT grenadine tie. Not only were the colors harmonized but the texture of the shirt and texture of the tie added aome depth to the otherwise simple color scheme. Accessorized with Pantherella socks, and my 1982 Alden Shell tassels and my late 1940s Ernest Borell watch and off the church.
