Tweedy transition
Before the big weight loss last spring my Daughter in Law, whose mother is an eBay aficionado that put two daughters through private college selling things in eBay, talked me into buying a spot coat. Unfortunately the 43R is slightly too large. Nevertheless I grabbed a wide wale corduroy and headed out to my last Rotary Club meeting for the year. On the WFH slightly brisk day I went with some brands and fabrics that have a long storied history: OOTD • Harris Tweed J Press 3/2 sport coat grey heather herringbone with blue and rust overlay window pane • Peter James houndstooth brown green and rust flat cap • LL Bean wide wake olive corduroy shirt • RL jeans • Alden Indiana Jones boots • Orvis green faced field watch

“Your Best” Isn’t Enough
Most people were raised on the lie that "as long as you try your best, everything will work out." This is false. The truth is... The real world doesn't give a fuck how hard you tried. It cares about whether or not you win. ...and if "your best" isn't enough to win... It doesn't matter if you did your best or not. You still lost. Quit denying that truth to protect your ego. Get pissed. Get sharper. Get disciplined. Get to work. Losing is only useful if it makes you dangerous. Raise your standard. Make “your best” something that actually wins. Until then... "Your best" is irrelevant. ~ Andy Frisella
