Increasing my polo selection

Going through my clothes, I realized that I only have one polo shirt that I like, and it's time to retire it. Time to buy some polo shirts.

Here's my dilemma, I like the cut and fit of Ralph Lauren. I think it would be an upgrade from what I had (Target Brand) and the silhouette is classic and timeless. $120/shirt though... that seems a little steep. If the quality is worth it, I have no problem paying that much, but if all you're really paying for is an embroidered polo player then it's not worth it. I've only had thrifted RL Polos at the end of their life.

What are your opinions? Is Ralph Lauren worth the price or overhyped. If they are overhyped, what brand would you recommend with a similar style and silhouette?
