Creating Elegance and Routine
One thing that I have learned in my 42 years is that my home is my sanctuary. I do everything I can to create a space of peace and tranquility in my home. For me, that is using “the good stuff” and having flowers around the house. I’m an antique lover and everything has its “place” in the house. Things must go back where they belong or I can’t function. I raised my nieces and I’ll never forget the time they brought friends over and after they left my niece told me that my house was so orderly that they were scared to sit down. I was proud and felt bad at the same time 🤣.
Before the day begins I sit at my breakfast table and watch the birds at the feeders outside my window. Before surgery I had a very strict routine.
  1. 4am wake stretch/yoga
  2. 5am gym for weight training or cardio depending on the day.
  3. 6am usually more like 6:15 but I would arrive home and have coffee at the breakfast table.
  4. 6:30 get ready for work (clothes would be on my valet the night before).
  5. 7:15-7:30 I was out the door heading to work.
Surgery, of course, has sloshed me down but I can’t wait to be released from restriction so I can get back to my wellness routine. It will likely be the first of the year before that happens.
What are your ways of creating the ideal experience at home, and what routines do you keep?
you have talked about these topics quite a bit on YouTube.
