There is a common, almost cliche, saying in the self-help/personal development world, and it’s “most people stop right before they succeed.” And it always makes me angry. Of course people stop before they succeed, if they succeeded they probably wouldn’t have stopped! I always question, how long do you go until you should stop because if you didn’t succeed is there success coming or is it just a waste of time? Sometimes we want things that just aren’t meant for us, but how do we know? I’ve been working on supporting myself as a coach, focusing primarily on 1:1 clients, for years. I’m not making my living with that yet, and have shifted and tweaked my offers, but is the delay in success telling me it’s never coming or telling me to stay dedicated because success is right around the corner? I may be thinking too much into it, but yea, I need a little help with this.
