I love reading about other people’s journeys, so I wanted to share mine! 😊 I started my Etsy shop at the end of July and had 17 orders across August and September combined. I wasn’t seeing the results I’d seen other shops achieve, so I decided to stop trying to stick to one niche and give myself more freedom to create different designs. October has been amazing, with consistent daily sales and 62 orders for the month! 🥹 November has started amazingly too, so I’m hoping it continues! I’m still early in my journey, but I’m so happy with the progress so far. 🤍 Thank you, @Tom Beeston , @Max Murray and @Mihai Volintiriu for creating such a lovely community and giving us the opportunity to grow a business. You’ve brought back a spark and excitement about work that I’d been missing lately, and I’m so grateful for that. 🤍

Forget Trick or Treat - I've just had my first order. Of course it's one of my more complicated designs and is a US order so have had to spend some time resizing and I think I'm there. Now have that nervous wait to see if it prints the way it should and customer is happy - going to be a nervous Nelly next week waiting for them to receive it!

Okay, I have a VERY serious question. Well, sort of. 😂 I just checked my Etsy dashboard and apparently my October Star Seller progress is looking absolutely fantastic! 100% message response rate ✅ 100% on-time shipping ✅ 5.0 star rating ✅ 0 cases ✅ Etsy even proudly tells me my progress is "Stellar!" 🌟 Amazing, right?! There's just one tiny, absolutely insignificant detail... I HAVEN'T MADE A SINGLE SALE IN 33 DAYS!!! 😂😂 Not one. Zero. Nothing. My shop has apparently decided to take an extended vacation without informing me. And now comes the part where my brain completely stops working. WAIT... DOES THIS MEAN I COULD ACTUALLY BECOME A STAR SELLER ON NOVEMBER 1ST?! 🤯🤣 For the FIRST time ever?! After more than a month of selling absolutely nothing?! And if this glorious sales streak continues, I might even lose the badge again in December because I won't have enough orders?! WHAT?! 😂😂 Now, before anyone starts explaining the three-month evaluation period, yes, I'm aware of that part. I understand that Etsy looks at the previous three months. But still... doesn't this feel just a LITTLE bit ridiculous?! 🤣 I'm sitting here celebrating 33 consecutive days of absolutely no sales, and Etsy might be preparing to hand me an award for being an outstanding seller. So, genuine question to the experienced Star Sellers here: Am I actually understanding this correctly? Could I really receive my very first Star Seller badge on November 1st if all my current stats stay exactly as they are? Or am I overlooking something? 😂 Because at this point, I might be getting promoted to Star Seller and unemployed seller at the exact same time. 🏆😂 Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds this absolutely hilarious!

In much the same vein as Grant Naylor's "Niche News" post... I've finally sold another cute victory-sign animal (albeit this time in download only)! Wolfie boy is probably my best seller (3 sales), but he's an anomaly: neither victory-sign animals nor cute nursery animals sell. Just these 4 sales. What people go for are sensible posters featuring representations of famous cities (thank you Ultravox; I've sold 3 Viennas) or upbeat yet very sophistique Art Nouveau animals. So, if you have a hankering to sell even slightly leftfield stuff, well, you can try, but don't expect folks to come flooding in. With that in mind, I'm in the middle of my project to make 144 Zodiac posters of Zodiac pairs in all possible combinations, in all possible configurations. All EXTREMELY sober. I've 36 to go! That takes my current listing count up to.. 1,010! Finally! 🥳 🥳
