This feels illegal…but it doubled my PMU income 💸
I want to share a little pricing hack I’ve been using that quietly added thousands of dollars a month to my PMU business 💸 When you run ads, you’ll get people who message:“How much are brows?” And that question is tricky…If you drop the full price right away, a cold lead can disappear before you ever get the chance to build value 🧠 On the East Coast (where I am), most women still need to discover powder brows first. They need to understand what it is, see results, feel comfortable with me, and then they’re ready to book 🤍 So here’s what I do now: 🔹 Leads from ads (cold) When they ask the price, I give them a range On the consult, I can: - Educate them 🎓 - Show photos 📸 - Answer questions ❓ Then I say: “For you, the first session will be $599.” 🔹 Referrals & warm clients When someone books from a referral or directly through my site (people who are already pre-sold 🙌), they see my regular price listed at $649 for the first session. Same service. Same quality. But I’m acknowledging the difference between: - Someone who’s never heard of me (ad lead), and - Someone who already trusts me (referral / warm traffic). I’ve slowly inched these numbers up over the last 3 months, and this tiny adjustment has added thousands of extra dollars per month without feeling salesy, pushy, or scammy 🥂 It all comes down to: - Building value first for cold leads - Letting your online/referral pricing reflect the demand you’ve worked hard to build 💅 If you’re staring at your own pricing and thinking,“I have no idea how to say this without scaring people off,”I’ve got you 🫶 Comment or Hit reply and type “PRICING” and I’ll send you the exact script I use when ad leads ask, “How much are brows?” …so you can copy it, tweak it, and start testing this in your own DMs. 💗Isabelle

4 YEARS OF PMU BIZ SCHOOL IN ONE VIDEO
READ THIS BEFORE YOU GIVE UP ON PMU
You don’t need more talent to survive in PMU. You need consistent bookings. Because “random” bookings don’t build a business… they build stress. And if you’ve looked at agencies, you already know the problem:they’ll take a huge cut of your profit while you’re still doing the work. Here’s the part that matters: There’s one move almost no PMU artists are making right now. And it does not include posting or discounts. And it’s definitely not chasing DMs all day. The artists using it are quietly stacking full-price bookings… and it feels unfair how fast it works once it clicks. If you want me to show you what it is (and how to use it), book a quick call. The day I gave up on my PMU business (and what happened 6 months later)
Exactly 7 months ago, I was sitting at a car sales desk, staring at a screen that had nothing to do with brows, lips, or beauty. I had just taken a full-time job.I had quietly given up on the permanent makeup business I’d spent 3 years building. I told myself: “I’m not trying anymore. I’ll just take clients on the weekends if they pop up.” (I rented a bed in a day spa and paid per client) I wasn’t booking consistently. I was always stressed. And I truly believed: - The market was too saturated - Getting consistent clients isn't going to happen at this point - Maybe this just wasn’t for me after all I couldn’t crack the code on how to fill my books I felt blindsided by marketing companies.I felt lied to about “just post consistently and grow organically.” I was questioning everything: “Am I even good enough?”“Did I just waste all this money?”“Will I ever actually ‘make it’ or is this just a cute hobby?” Meanwhile…I had invested thousands into trainings, my studio, my machine, pigments, and cute furniture. What was supposed to be my dream started to feel like a very expensive, silly idea. So if you’re reading this and wondering: “Okay, but how are you going to give me marketing advice?” Here’s why 👇 Fast forward just six months from that car sales desk… I am now living the exact life I was trying to build all along: - I’m a full-time permanent makeup artist - I make a full-time income working 3 days a week - I consistently take on 5 new clients every week (and have the power to increase this when I want to) - And now, I spend my other 3 days coaching PMU artists on how to do the same And the wildest part? It didn’t happen because I got lucky. It happened because I finally stopped guessing, stopped “hoping” Instagram would magically work, and started using a simple, repeatable system to: ✅ Get in front of the right women ✅ Turn strangers into booked consultations ✅ Turn consultations into high-paying, dream clients Learning the BASICS of paid advertising did that much for me...
