Intro from Northeast Florida

Hey guys - David from Jacksonville, FL Pretty new here. I am a commercial pilot and essentially work 1 week on 1 week off. Trying to find something I can do on the side and hopefully my 16 year old son can get going on this as well. I ran a Schwing 47 meter concrete pump truck a long time ago so do have some exposure to the construction world but not a lot.

Done a ton of research on equipment, attachments, Facebook competition etc. Purchasing equipment (albeit expensive) is not a huge issue as we can bonus depreciate it so that will help me on another segment of my life.

What I have noticed is in my area we have about 15 different companies doing FB ads - I am sure many are in this group as well. I can see that as a positive and a negative - positive as it means the area has lots of work - and negative is well maybe there is too much competition. I dug pretty deep and about half the companies are relatively new (at least as far as their LLC formation). Not really a factor but just a data point I am sharing.

Either way feel free to share any thoughts, input, etc. Just wanted to say hello and get any input, advice, I can get my hands on!
