Why I'm doing the challenge:
- I'm doing this challenge because I've never really tracked what I've eaten in a week nearly ever and I learned the concept "you can't manage what you don't measure" and I'm an accounting major, so I better start keeping track of the things I'm doing.
- And most importantly, who am I to say do this challenge if I'm not willing to be apart of it!
What I'm hoping to learn or change:
- I'm hoping to learn a lot more about my eating patterns, obviously I could tell you a bit about them right now. But to see them clearly on a piece of paper for myself to analyze, critique and learn from will show me a real reason why I feel the way I feel... I think it's also it's a chance to change or continue with my approach to eating. For me, I feel as though sometimes I just eat to eat or because I'm bored. And now I want to learn how to take my mindfulness as a player to eating as well...
Current nutrition goals I have:
- Nutrition goals I have is making sure I'm eating a well-balance mix of protein, fats and carbohydrates. Then as I do so, tracking how that feels from day to day. Trying to really think about what foods that make me feel like a lighting bolt of energy or deplete it for the remainder of the day.
My biggest challenge when it comes to eating right:
- Right now the biggest challenge is finding a way to stop myself from overeating. One strategy that have helped in the past has been eating without my phone at the table (so my body sees how much I'm eating without distraction). So a big challenge will be finding out what foods make me feel full over others. Also making sure I tie this in with proper hydration and timing with my current training schedule.
