Time trial
I had a time trial today for the 50m Free, got the pb i wanted (25:90). The race felt really good overall and I'm happy with the outcome Positives: Underwaters were good and powerful, breathed only once and good head position Negatives: Staggered the finish, hand entry wasn't the best We take those 💪
My last competition before the summer holidays wasn't my best
My last competition before the summer holidays wasn't my best. On May 30th, I swam three races SC: 100m freestyle, 100m medley, and 50m butterfly. On the downside, my turns were poor. I was two seconds slower than my personal bests in all events. I felt really unwell due to my allergies. On the upside, I focused on my technique and was able to maintain very long underwater phases. I still managed to win one gold and one silver medal.
Hessian championships
Last Saturday and sunday we had hessian Championship in lifesaving (DLRG). Saturday was Single. My First Race was 100m obstscle Swim and I got a 3 second pb . Second was 50m manequin rescue and I also got a 3 second pb .My usually best race, manequin rescue with fins I had trouble and had minus 1 second to my pb. The manequin was slippery and I almost lost it In the End I was third of 27 and very happy about it. Sunday Team comp: My Team did pb in each race We have to do Four relays. In the end we were first, hessian Champions. So we go to German Nationals with out Team. I Hope that I also can Go to the German Nationals for Singles.

1500 time trial (sorry this post is so long haha)
it's the second time I've ever done the 1500 (I do it like once a year, first time was last June). last time I did it, I didn't double cap since I used to just put my goggles under my cap and call it a day. that was the first and last time my cap fell off lol, I always double cap now, and I think it happened when I had a good 500 left or so - this time I double capped. I could feel BOTH of my caps sliding up my forehead though and I kept pulling it down on every other turn since it was short course and obviously its a time trial anyways, and on my push and glides in my streamlines, I would put pressure on my head to pull down the cap if that makes sense. anyway, I dropped 42 seconds from last year (I went 18:59.91 and my coach wanted me to go sub-19:00) but I really really want to race it again since if I can go sub 19 with technical issues like that, I can definitely drop a good 10 seconds since it messed up so many of my turns, especially since it was short course. I'm also not really "worn out" of racing it, which I get with my 400im, for instance. like I'm genuinely excited to race it again since I'm optimistic for it, but its hard to find meets with the 1500 available. overall I'm pretty happy though, since my technique has felt pretty off for quite a while, since January or so, and finally I'm starting to feel my freestyle technique fall back into place, how it was before when I was consistently pbing. anyways, big pb today but I know I can do better, but it also just makes me hopeful for upcoming competitions.
