Day 7 – Rest + Record Testimonies
Today’s Goal:
Take a breath, catch up, and reflect — and if you’re ready, record a testimony about your journey so far.
Sabbath Day Suggestion of the Week:
Yesterday I was sitting with some friends talking about how all business strategies that truly work are Bible-based. And since it’s Sunday, let me drop this word on you…
God created the entire earth and its eco-systems in six days and rested on the seventh. Are you hearing this? God built a business and automated it — then sat back and said, “It is good.” He made humans once, and then they were on autopilot to keep recreating each other — a self-sustaining system.
Look at photosynthesis — or as Simba from The Lion King would say, “the circle of life.” Everything is an automated system designed so that God could work once, build it right, and then rest while it produces on its own.
God built systems so He could TAKEOFF — rise and rest. I encourage you to do the same in your business: build systems that allow you to produce and rest with confidence.
My Coaching Advice:
Rest is just as important as action. I promote Sabbath rest — taking time to recharge and reset so you can sustain the journey. If you are caught up, take today to pause and celebrate how far you’ve come.
But if you want to lean in today, here’s your assignment: share your testimony.
Inside my Playmaker Program, we have a day just like this where I ask students to record a video testimonial. I even pay them $25 via PayPal — not because they need the money, but because I want them to see the value in a testimonial. It also has the below benefits:
  1. Get comfortable on camera. It’s practice for speaking with confidence and using video as a tool for business.
  2. See the power of testimonies. When people share results, it inspires others and builds credibility.
  3. Give me social proof. These testimonials let others see the transformation inside my program.
Practical Exercise:
📝 Rest & Reflect Options
Choose one of these options today (or do all three if you’re feeling inspired):
  1. Leave a Testimonial Here: Record a 30–60 second video or write a short paragraph sharing how this reset challenge has impacted you so far.
  2. Plan Your Testimonial Strategy: Decide how you will collect testimonials from your clients going forward.
  3. Think Back on Past Clients: Make a list of people (friends, co-workers, clients) who could write or record a testimonial for you. Reach out and request one this week.
Call to Action:
Answer this question:
Do you already have testimonials about you? How will you collect more going forward?
Or — if you need it — simply use today to catch up on Days 1–6.
Resources I Recommend:
Here are my top three tools & strategies for testimonial collection:
  1. Talkadot – My #1 feedback tool. They have a free and pro version. This is my affiliate link: https://www.talkadot.com/s/dwightriddick/share — it’s free and a must-have for collecting feedback!
  2. Captions App – Use this app to add captions to your testimonial videos (captions boost watch time).
  3. Testimonial Strategy: Incorporate short clips of client testimonials into your recap videos or reels — this massively boosts the impact of your content and builds trust with potential clients.
(I’ll leave examples of all three ideas in the comments for you to review and learn from.)
Affirmation of the Day:
“I rest, reflect, and celebrate progress — and I amplify my impact by collecting and sharing powerful stories of transformation.”
