Sub 80 target
Next month Manchester, the goal is Sub 80 mens open In Birmingham I did a 1:12 mens doubles so I have confidence that I can do this (previous open PB being 1:23) I seem to see my hr raise the most on burpees and wall balls What would be your advise or tactic behind seeing a lower hr on these but also completing them faster? Progression? On paper 5 mins run 5 min stations seems such a achievable target just seem to blow it on race days Thank you

It’s not your engine… it’s your recovery!
If you can push hard but can’t recover fast, you’re not limited by fitness …you’re limited by your ability to clear fatigue and get back to work. This video was from our recent UK seminar tour. Chris breaks down why recovery capacity is the missing link for most athletes and how improving it instantly increases the amount of quality work you can handle. If you feel like you “should be fitter by now”… this might be the reason. We will be posting educational clips each week to get discussions going on the page in an effort to educate you all even more! Comment below if you can relate with this one! Do you think about your recovery during your sessions? If you have any questions surrounding this topic, comment below and @Chris Hinshaw will get back!

Why you should be doing 2k intervals...
In this week's educational drop, Chris explains why 2K reps are one of the most powerful tools you can use to build true race-specific durability. When you can stay composed, efficient and repeatable for 2K segments…the HYROX 1Ks feel easier, your transitions improve and your overall race time drops. If you’ve ever felt strong for the first half of a session but faded late… this video is for you. We’ll keep bringing you these weekly education clips so you understand why we programme the things we do ...not just what to do. 👇 Comment below: Do you train 2Ks regularly? And after watching this, will you start including them more? Tag @Chris Hinshaw and @Gustavo Vaz Tostes with your questions!
