The System Ghosted You. We Didn’t
You can deploy overseas faster than you can get a family doctor at home. That’s not a joke — it’s the system.
Canadian veterans. You fought for your country; now you have to fight for medical attention.
It's clear as mud - Canada's Healthcare system is in shambles:
👨🔬Almost 20% of Canadians don't have a primary healthcare provider;
👨🔬We rank dead last in comparison to our NATO peers for specialist wait times; and
👨🔬 almost 30% of Canadians feel that the system is failing them.
Veterans - you expected something different. You expected to be looked after, like our grandparents, for sacrificing our bodies for the country.
We're the ONLY NATO country to NOT provide frontline medical care to its veterans.
This has another nasty effect - you can't access your VAC benefits since you can't get a doctor to sign off or refer you to a specialist. This means lost time and money that could be going to you and your family.
Only 25% of eligible Canadian veterans receive their benefits. That's unbelievable!
This angers me...so we came up with a solution.
