Well the head pressure is gone. Intestinal upset is fading but man are the emotions intense! Everything is over the top. Sometimes I get so excited I end up literally shaking. I cry a lot. I think the tears are good because for the last year I had no tears and just " blah ". I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the Silkie Hike. Sorry I will apologize ahead of time. I might be so hyper. I promise to do my best to dial it in. 😆

International Talk Like A Pirate Day 🏴‍☠️
16,058 today. I knew I didn’t have the time to do 20k today, so I threw 20 lbs on my back for the walk to the Cascades. I wish I would have started that sooner.

New Challenge Idea
Our lovely community manger @Amanda Moddejonge just reminded me of a killer challenge that I haven't run in this group yet. It's the 20k steps challenge. It's easy, in one day do 20k steps and post your step counter picture in the group. You don't get anything other than likes, comments and a sense of self worth. Who's in?

That sounds amazing!!!
Here it comes!!!
I likely just had the best win of life ever, today. I have the 2nd best physiotherapist on the planet, and I have been seeing her for about 10 years. I've been going to see her most recently for my shoulder. I generally go to her for a hip/back issue. Today I mentioned that my piriformis muscle was tweaked, so we were working on that. At the end of the session I mentioned to her that I have been struggling with Romanian Dead Lifts because I don't feel them in my hamstrings. I just got up and showed her what I've been doing without being asked, so we went through the form. She said "It looks 'good', but you're right. I can't put my finger on what isn't exactly right" So she did one with me. It turned out to be the tilt on my hips that was the problem, and not by much. I never gave up, but man it is difficult to keep at it when you can feel there is something not as productive as it should be. It felt amazing to finally get proper engagement with the right muscle group with that one!!!

Yes! I wasn’t tilting up enough.
Strong and Pain Free at 50?
Strong at 50 is not a fantasy. I walked with a cane, then finished an Ironman. I'm not special — I just stopped believing the wrong story. There's a lie floating around that says the good years are behind you and the job now is to slow the decline. Manage the back. Manage the knees. Manage the weight. Manage, manage, manage — until "managing" is the whole personality. Screw that. Your body is a healing machine until the day you die — that's not motivation-poster nonsense, that's biology. The reason you're stuck usually isn't age. It's that nobody ever found what's actually draining you, so you've been out-disciplining a problem you never measured. Measure it. Identify the drains. Target them one at a time. Own the rebuild, because nobody's coming to do it for you. That's the whole method. It's not sexy. It works. We had a great workshop training session last Thursday about your CHRONIC PAIN. The majority of us have it and it sucks. I believed it was a life sentence before I developed a system centred around my patented supplement called BHW - BLOODY HARD WORK. There are stories and exercises you can start doing to begin reducing your chronic pain one day at a time. Do you want to see the REPLAY in the TEMPERED Veteran Community? I feel like we should start posting our step counts again for the rest of September. It aint no ironman, but it's a whole lot better than nothing. And @Darrell Ball has been killing it with posting.

@Dave Morrow I love breaking that barrier. I think I’m going to do that right now.
