Update on my 12 lb weighted vest: I learned real quick that 10–20 minutes is my max right now. My body felt like a truck ran it over πŸ˜‚ My back was SO sore, so I’m easing it down and dialing it back a bit.
For now, I’m wearing it once a day during my walk for about 10–20 minutes max.
Of course, my partner had to be a smart ass and said, β€œYou didn’t read the instructions and follow through. That’s why your back is sore.”
Me: πŸ™„ β€œWhatever, bruh.”
Then I told him Coach Darren said it’s actually a good way to enhance strength and burn extra calories β€” but yes, noted, I need to take it easy. At least I’m challenging myself.
And then he stayed quiet 🀫😝
Lesson learned: challenge yourself, but don’t let your ego wear the vest longer than your body is ready for.
