Sunday Share: Meal Prep Is a System, Not a Mood
One thing I’m learning is that meal prep works best when I don’t depend on motivation.Today I prepped my Bison & Turkey Kaprow and paired it with white & purple rice. This meal works for me because it has protein, carbs, and flavor already built in.
Per serving:
✴️ Bison & Turkey Kaprow: 290 calories, 36g protein
✴️ White & Purple Rice: 142 calories, 3.8g protein
✴️ Together: 432 calories and 39.8g protein.
That’s why I like having meals like this ready. When I’m tired, busy, or getting back into routine after vacation, I don’t have to negotiate with myself. I just grab what I already planned.
I also quick-prepped my daughter’s Costco chicken cilantro wontons with coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and Mike’s Hot Honey. She asked for seconds, so that sauce is officially approved.
Meal prep is not about eating the same boring thing forever. It’s about creating a system that helps you stay consistent when life gets loud.
