Tried my first F45 Training Playoff format today and tracked both rounds:
β‘οΈ Round 1: 327 pts
β‘οΈ Round 2: 331 pts
Biggest takeawayβ¦
Going all out doesnβt always mean better results.
Round 1, I came in HOT π₯Round 2, I came in SMART π§
I paced myself, controlled my breathing, and focused on moving efficiently through all 10 stations:
Rowing β Bench Hops β Push-Up Knee Tucks β Lateral Hops β Burpee + Box Jump β Chin-Ups (skipped intentionally) β Squat & Press β Russian Twists β Deadball Over Shoulder Throw β Shuttle Sprint + Lateral Hops
π I strategically skipped chin-ups to reserve my energy so I could perform stronger on Squat & Press and the final stations and it paid off.
Lesson learned: Itβs not about going beast mode from the startβ¦Itβs about managing your energy so you donβt gas out halfway.
Funny moment of the day π
10am trainingβ¦ crickets π¦It started as just me and Coach Bobby (hello nerves π³ 1:1 training!)
Then two more ladies showed up after warm-up and I was likeβ¦ okay, I can breathe now π
Coach Bobby said: βNot bad for your first time.βIβll take that πͺ
Takeaway: Strategy > SpeedControl > Chaos
You donβt need to go all outβ¦You need to go in with a plan.
Question:Have you ever performed better by pacing yourself instead of going all out? π
