I told myself this 6-week challenge would be DIFFERENT — so I’m putting my money where my mouth is.
I officially entered my Sleep Era and bought an Oura Ring to stay aligned with my goals instead of guessing.
Here’s Night #1 results:
✨ Total sleep: 6h 26m (up from my usual ~5 hrs 🙌)
✨ Sleep efficiency: 92%
✨ REM: 1h 50m (28%)
✨ Deep sleep: 1h 28m (23%)
✨ Restfulness: Optimal
✨ Resting HR: 50 bpm
Not perfect — but REAL progress.
Why this matters (especially for fat loss + muscle gain):
👉 Deep sleep = muscle recovery + growth hormone
👉 REM sleep = nervous system reset + motivation
👉 Better sleep = better workouts, cravings control, stress regulation
👉 Recovery IS part of training.
My official challenge commitments:
🔥 Build toward 7–7.5 hrs (5 sleep cycles)
🔥 Reduce nighttime scrolling + emails
🔥 Limit recipe doom-scrolling (this one hurt 😂)
🔥 Treat sleep like a non-negotiable workout
This round isn’t about perfection.
It’s about intention. consistency. execution.
Choosing growth over comfort.
