πŸ† Saturday Win: The Plot Twist I Didn’t See Coming
If you've followed my journey for a while, you know my default setting is usually: work harder, push harder, do more. πŸ˜…
So it's kind of funny that one of my biggest wins lately has come from doing the exact opposite.
When I started jogging 16 days ago, my heart rate would quickly climb into the higher zones because my brain wanted to treat every run like a competition.
Today, I spent 15 minutes and 36 seconds in Zone 2 with an average heart rate of 136 BPM. Nothing about that sounds exciting on paper. I didn't run faster. I didn't run farther. I didn't set a speed record. But what I did do was stay in control.
For someone who is learning to run, improve endurance, and prepare for future HYROX training, that's a huge win. It's proof that my body is adapting and becoming more efficient.
As I get seasoned, the more I realize fitness isn't always about seeing how hard you can push. Sometimes it's about having the patience to let your body learn, adapt, and grow.
Funny enough, that lesson applies to a lot more than running. πŸ’ͺπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ
