Running win 🏃🏽‍♂️
I’ve never loved running, but since my knee surgery back in August, the mental side has honestly been harder than the physical part. Trusting my knee again, pushing past the “should I stop?” voice… that’s usually where I tap out.
Until now, my runs have been short and safe.
1km jogs, break, repeat. Stop as soon as doubt shows up.
Today I changed the approach.
Instead of chasing distance, I set one simple rule: run for 20 minutes and reassess.
I hit 20 minutes, realized I still had more in me, and just kept going.
Ended up with 30 minutes of nonstop jogging and 4km total, a PR for me since surgery. The best part is that my knee felt completely fine the whole time.
Big reminder that breakthroughs aren’t always physical. Sometimes, it’s deciding not to stop when your brain tells you to.
