… and by that I don’t mean physically but the whole system itself.☺️ This might not seem like a big win but for me it matters as I realized once again how important it is to understand my body.
I had two recent experiences which made me realize just how much my body changed since I joined the BBB. Last week I was roaming around the fridge for a cold drink and found a redbull,🥤 I didn’t have one in so long so I picked it right up. Fair to mention it was in the late afternoon already. That night, I woke up multiple times, felt tired the whole next day and had some stomach cramps. My dumb brain 🧠 just did not catch up on it so when we visited my cousin last Sunday and she showed me a new summer flavor redbull I of course happily drank it. It tasted sooo good 😋 but maybe you can guess what happened, I woke up again in the night. 🥲
So I started thinking, both days I had coffee in the morning, redbull after 4pm and not enough movement throughout the day to actually feel tired. My body’s system simply doesn’t require so much caffeine anymore as most of the time I drink water.
Thinking back to my A-levels when I had one or two redbull a day this change now is a huge win for me! I realized quite late how harmful a large consumption of these energy drinks are. I had to suffer from racing heart 🫀 most nights for a couple month before coming to conclusion that my own drinking habits where the cause of this. After that I reduced my energies to 1-2 per week and after joining the BBB I changed it again to no caffeinated drinks past 2pm! 🕑
My only two exceptions to that rule: ❗️
- driving home after a long night out
- a family emergency
I‘ve been living in the moment that my own rule totally slipped my mind on both days last week. I once again learned my lesson and will now focus more on which drinks I give myself. 😊💪🏻
Let’s keep going and continue to listen to our bodies! They tell us exactly what they need and don’t want! 🥰
Did you ever consume anything more than you should have which had an effect on your life?
