A few days ago I shared something I wasn't proud of.
After my uncle's vigil and prayer gathering, what started as a plan to stay within my calories turned into a full-on binge. I felt bloated, uncomfortable and, if I'm being honest, ashamed of myself.
When I stepped on the scales and saw the number go up... my mind immediately went into panic mode.
"I've ruined everything."
"I've undone months of progress."
"What's the point?"
It's amazing how quickly our minds can catastrophise after one bad day. ๐
But then I spoke to my coach.
He reminded me to zoom out. ๐
Yes, my nutrition let me down that day.
But what about everything else?
โ
I still hit my step goal all week.
๐ด My sleep was on point.
๐โโ๏ธ Got my training in
One day didn't suddenly erase all of that.
That conversation was exactly what I needed.
Instead of letting one binge turn into a bad week, I remembered something I tell myself often...
Don't miss twice. ๐
So that's exactly what I did.
๐ฅ I went straight back to my usual nutrition.
๐ถโโ๏ธ Back to my daily walks.
๐๏ธโโ๏ธ Back in the gym.
๐ด Back to prioritising my sleep.
No punishment.
No starving myself.
No trying to "make up" for it.
Just back to the habits that got me here in the first place.
And guess what?
The scales have started moving in the right direction again. โฌ๏ธ
This is exactly why its important to share the highs and the lows.
I don't want anyone to think this journey is perfect because it isn't.
I still have moments where I doubt myself.
I still have days where I make mistakes.
I still have days where my emotions get the better of me.
The difference now is that I don't let one bad day become a reason to quit.
Progress isn't about never falling.
It's about getting back up every single time.
If you're reading this after having a bad day, don't wait until Monday. Don't wait until next week.
Just don't miss twice.
One meal doesn't define you.
One day doesn't define you.
Your next decision does. โค๏ธ๐ช
