Honestly, every part of me wants to go all in, lift heavy, and push hard like I normally would. But after speaking with my physio about my back, the focus right now is slow, controlled progress.
It’s frustrating because I want to be further ahead already. But I keep reminding myself that progress isn’t about rushing to where I was β€” it’s about rebuilding properly so I can keep moving forward instead of risking setbacks and ending up back at square one.
So for now: lighter weights, more patience, better form, and trusting the process.
Slow and steady isn’t falling behind. It’s how I make sure I don’t regress.
Anyone else having to remind themselves that recovery and restraint are part of progress too?
