Last night turned into Nutrition 101 with my niece.
Since staying in Sacramento, my sister and I noticed my niece hasnโt really been eating nutritious meals. We got a little concerned because she mentioned she wasnโt feeling well while we were at the mall. Come to find out, she was basically running on low fuel.
So of course, Fitness Auntie had to step in ๐
I explained it to her like this:โYour body is like a battery. When your phone dies, you have to charge it. Your body is the same way. Food is how you charge your energy.โ
My sister and I sat down with her and asked what she normally eats for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We made notes on what she likes, what she doesnโt like, and what we can slowly introduce so she can make better choices.
Sheโll be staying with my younger sister for one month over the summer, so Iโll be flying home and officially handing her off to the next auntie coach ๐
This morning, I slowly introduced her to Envy apples, and she loved it! ๐But my โSeven Days Cheeriosโ idea was a bust. She was not a fan โ and thatโs okay. Weโre not forcing perfection. Weโre teaching her how to try things and make healthier choices little by little.
Iโm honestly happy I get to guide her and show her that eating better doesnโt have to be scary or complicated.
Auntie Bootcamp has officially begun. ๐๐ช๐ฝ
