I had already planned out my meals for today, because I bought valentines day cupcakes from a local bakery and I plan to fully enjoy one of them after dinner tonight.🧁
BUT then my hubby sent me this: "Do you want to go on a breakfast date with me?"🍳
Guys, word choice matters. It's not like I would have turned him down if he had just said, "hey let's try out this place for breakfast," but the fact that he asked me on a date made me feel like a giggly 18 year-old again.🤍
Anyway, I checked out the menu and adjusted my plan, had a protein shake and an apple this morning before we went out and then had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich at the restaurant. Skipped the potatoes, drank water. It was delicious and I was very full after pre-gaming with fiber and protein.💪🏼
Rather than sacrificing a lovely breakfast date with my husband or sacrificing feeling good about my choices at the end of the day, I found a balance and adjusted the plan. Win✔️
