New belt and components, belt keeps walking off
Man this truck I’ve been bringing back to life keeps fighting me. The belt keeps walking off. I had a new green gates belt that’s probably not in new condition anymore. When I put this engine together I put a new ac compressor, new idler pulley, new water pump, and new tensioner. Everything seems to spin straight and true. Within 10-15 seconds of running the belt walks halfway off the damper, power steering pump, fan, ac compressor and tensioner.
Cylinder sleeve?
Hey rob do you sleeve cylinders? I have an 03 block where #6 cracked a ring, the pieces scored the cylinder beyond what a standard re-bore can do.

Expansion plug retaining compound
I believe I finally found a leak I’ve been chasing. To correct it I’m going to be replacing an expansion plug for the j jet oil galley at the back of the block. Which loctite product do you guys recommend? I believe I used blue loctite on original install. I’m considering one of these 2 retaining compounds. Loctite 641 or 660. Which works the best and has the best guarantee of sealing. I really don’t want to pull this transmission again lol

Still leaking
Well, unfortunately the only leak I have is still coming from behind the adapter plate. This is a new engine I built. I’ve posted about this 2 other times on here. I’ve removed the trans twice and replaced the oring and put rtv on both sides of it. The last time I pulled the trans I also replaced one of the expansion plugs that looked slightly suspicious.I used retaining compound on when installing. I also scraped the block and adapter plate of any paint and cleaned all surfaces. I’m at whits end on this. This will be my 4th time trying to get it sealed up. I’m not sure what else to do at this point. Can I put thread in plugs for the oil galley expansion plugs? I’m not sure if it’s even the plug or cam seal. You can’t clearly tell where it’s coming from each time I’ve pulled it back apart. I’ve never had issues with leaks back there any other time I’ve put together an engine or removed the adapter plate
Mains and rod’s bearings
Most guy use normal MAHLE main and rod bearing or go towards H series? I’ve always used the typical normal ones. My 5.9 is ripped apart with #6 slapped the wall. So it’s rebuild time. If it matters it over 1100hp
