What Makes a Course Successful - Replay Available
What a great session this morning! We talked about: - the role of courses in your Skool community, - why people might not be visiting your classroom, - what makes a successful course, - strategies for monetizing your group, and - questions you can ask yourself to determine if there is room for improvement in your course or community! The entire session was about 50 minutes long with 30 minutes of questions/discussion at the end. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙀𝙎𝙏, so watch it as soon as you can! As part of this training, I am also offering a one-hour 1:1 Classroom Clarity Call for anyone who is interested in having an expert educator review their classroom/community and help you strategize best next steps for your classroom content. If you are interested, you can check it out here! 😊

Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

📚 Story Time + FREE Skool Audit 😃
There was a gal who was named, let's say Shemelia Bedelia*. *This name is definitely fictional, BTW. Do you know who I named her after? And Shemelia? She was SO NICE, had the best idea for her Skool community, and even had boxes checked like posts and classroom and such. 💩 But Shemelia had one GLARING problem...! Her community was deader than dead. 👻👻👻👻👻👻 In fact, it was full of ghosts! Ghosts who would also even ghost in the DMs. Like, WHY? WHYYY?! But then Shemelia's luck changed! She met this wacky chick named Éva who offered her a FREE Skool Audit. Éva was honestly a pretty normal person, but... A FEW THINGS ABOUT ÉVA STOOD OUT: 1. her community had humans rather than ghosts, 2. a pretty ⭐ and fun 🔥 followed her around EVERYWHERE, 3. and she'd even just won the 🏆 Skool Games! SOME OTHER BITS ABOUT THIS ÉVA CHICK - Before going full-time in her business in 2009, she was the Director of Marketing & Development for a national continuing education company. Because of her work there starting in 2006, she also learned HTML and even hand coded her first website. Talk about a GEEK! haha 🤓 - If you think she's a geek about coding, you should SEE how she geeks out about Skool stuff!! 😅 She knows alllllll the cool bits! - Pre-Skool, she built a 6-figure business teaching folks how to eat more raw foods (like, what?! people do pay for that!) and in 2012 opened a pretty rocking online community that had IRL events in the mix! SO WHAT IS THE FREE SKOOL AUDIT? [note from Éva: I legit cannot write in third person anymore! So from here forward it's, "I" not "She"!) - I'll poke around your metrics, community, and classroom to see what's what. - With that info and the lens of my experiences on Skool since 2023 + almost two full decades in intentional online marketing, I'll lay out a FULL audit of what I see (pssst, even if you are good with this stuff, we all have blind spots about our own communities!). - You'll get thoughtfully customized homework that helps you to move forward in ways that feel good to YOU!
Three and a half years ago, I walked out of my teaching career.
I had taught in public schools in the U.S. and abroad. I loved my students. I loved education. But I knew I wanted to make a bigger impact and create more freedom for my family. So I left. No backup plan. No guaranteed income. Just a dream and a deep belief that I could build something meaningful. It has not been a straight line. There were seasons where I questioned myself. Moments where I worked way too many hours. Launches that did not land the way I thought they would. Times I almost convinced myself to play smaller. But I kept going. Today I work from anywhere. I earn consistent income. I have a product line on Amazon. I lead a community of creators building sustainable businesses. And I am still learning every single week. I just released a YouTube video sharing some of the biggest lessons from these past three and a half years. The real ones. The ones I wish someone had sat me down and told me when I first left my 9 to 5. If you are building a Skool community, creating offers, or trying to grow without burning yourself out, I think you will resonate with this. Not because I have it all figured out. But because I am in it. Building. Refining. Choosing discipline over drama. Choosing structure over chaos. Choosing sustainability over hustle. If you watch it, I would truly love your thoughts. Creator to creator. Thank you for being in the arena with me. Sybil 💛

𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂 THIS FRIDAY! Part of the Make It Work Harder workshop series This live session focuses on the page everything in your Skool community leads back to: your About Page. Inside Skool analytics, you can see how many people visit your About Page and what percentage choose to join. For paid communities, the platform average is around 4%. For free communities, it’s closer to 20%. If your numbers are lower than that, this workshop gives you a clearer way to understand what your About Page is signaling to new visitors. Before increasing visibility through The Classifieds, this is an opportunity to make sure your About Page is working with that attention — not quietly losing it. In this workshop, I’ll review two real Skool About Pages live and walk through: • who the page is actually speaking to • what outcome it centers for the reader • whether the next step is clear or implied • where personality is doing the work — and where generic copy gets in the way This isn’t a copy rewrite or SEO training. It’s about clarity, signal, and helping your About Page support conversion without losing your voice. If you’re planning to post in The Classifieds again before the end of February, this is the right place to start. 👉 Save your spot via the calendar link on Friday, February 13.
