I read a lot. I’ve always loved books.
But, when I found a very short, simple book written 100-years ago, my experience was different. This time I embodied the book.
After my partner was given a terminal diagnosis and we totally changed our lifestyle, a little book, barely 100 pages long found me and impacted my life more than any other book ever has.
The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn
I’m so excited to lead my community through this book over the next 12 weeks, as we:
- take in each chapter one at a time (most chapters are barely 10 pages long)
- choose an embodiment practice for the week (these aren’t things you need to set aside time for, they are practices of noticing and responding differently that weave into your daily life)
- meet weekly to connect, discuss the chapter, and share our experiences. (it’s ok if you didn’t get the chapter read, you can still show up and participate in the discussion as each chapter discusses experiences we can all relate to, whether we’ve read it or not).
I’m so excited to see the transformations within this community over the next few months!
