Today is March 21st (3/21), globally recognized as World Down Syndrome Day, representing the three copies of the 21st chromosome.
As entrepreneurs and founders, we spend an immense amount of time talking about scaling revenue, optimizing funnels, and building wealth. True leadership requires us to look beyond the balance sheet. We must ask, what kind of world are our businesses actually building?
I am navigating this journey firsthand as a father to an incredible child with Down Syndrome. It has fundamentally reshaped my definition of success. It is our moral and ethical imperative as business leaders to build a future where individuals with Down syndrome (and anyone facing physical, cognitive, or societal challenges) are not just accommodated, but actively elevated and valued.
Awareness is the baseline, but action is the standard. We all have the capability to elevate and build a better, inclusive future. I encourage you all to push yourselves and work to build a better future for all!
