Jackie and Shadow have captured hearts around the world. Now, the land that helps sustain their family needs our help.

Moon Camp is a 63-acre undeveloped habitat in Big Bear, California, located less than a mile from their nest. It's one of the places where Jackie and Shadow hunt for food to feed themselves and their eaglets.

For over 25 years, conservationists have worked to prevent this property from becoming a luxury housing development and marina and there is one final opportunity to preserve it forever.

The San Bernardino Mountains Land Trust has until July 31, 2026, to raise $10 million and purchase the property. So far, $3,821,212 (38%) has been raised.

Protecting Moon Camp also protects an incredible variety of wildlife, including the San Bernardino flying squirrel, rare native plants, and one of Southern California's most biologically diverse ecosystems.

This campaign has become a lasting tribute to Sandy Steers, whose passion and dedication helped bring this opportunity to life.
