Fretboard Opens Up: Beginner โ†’ Advanced Beginner
Hereโ€™s a clip from my lesson with @David Chisholm yesterday. I started by asking him some questions. Sometimes, depending on how long iโ€™ve worked with them, I ask my students what they like or donโ€™t like about the lessons. That way I can make them even better ๐Ÿ† My goal is to make the Fretboard Flyer Method the easiest way to learn the neck. Your ideas help a lot! David said he can now connect chords easier. He feels more like an advanced beginner than a brand new one when it comes to the fretboard navigation. I thought that was awesome, and I hope it inspires more people to pick up the guitar today. Even if itโ€™s just for a few minutes ๐ŸŽธ

New Student: "The Fretboard Just Clicked!"
Here's a little snippet from a lesson i had with @Jaime Ayala earlier today. He had a breakthrough moment when he was able to see the fretboard more clearly. Big win! ๐Ÿคฉ What's your biggest breakthrough moment on the guitar so far? ๐ŸŽธ

Chord fluency unlocked! ๐Ÿ”
Geoffrey and I started learning chordal scales (harmonized scales) a while back. For someone who just wanted to learn solos and leads, this is a big step forward. Here's a sneak peek into our lessons and his progression in the past weeks. Congrats @Geoffrey Becker! Keep up the consistency and good work ๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿค˜ I know I went through the topic in this video fast because I just wanted to focus on Geoffrey's progress, but if you're interested in learning this fretboard navigation exercise as well, feel free to reach out to me and I'll be happy to give you a helping hand ๐Ÿ˜Š

Scar Tissue Improv Leaves Student Mindblown ๐Ÿคฏ
Here's a little behind-the-scenes footage from a recent lesson I had with my student Vicente. We were learning how to improvise over "Scar Tissue" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He had never navigated the neck like this before. So he had a pretty big ah-a moment. Lots of fun with slow and steady progress ๐Ÿ˜

From string noise to fluent riffing!
Me and @Nikola Gugoski shared this on Instagram a while back, but I thought I'd share it again just because the results here are really epic. Looking forward to seeing you progress even more @Jagdeep Sran ๐ŸŽธ Let's go!
