Still working on moving between the pentatonic boxes. Also working more on the timing/ not playing every note exactly on the metronome. I still feel like I need to work on it more as I didn’t always end each lick on time, but it still made me think and be more conscious of playing “around” the beat which was good.
@Christian Lie Yes that makes sense, thanks! In terms of moving from one to another, I’d say it depends which one I’m already on. Moving up or down one position is not bad from any position but going two or three is where it gets tricky.
Started in position 1, and played string by string to positions 2 and 3 then back down to position 5. I feel like I’m starting to get better at visualizing the whole pentatonic “supershape” at least piece by piece, so doing this has been good
Didn’t follow the tabs 100%, it was a bit easier just to move down a string in this case and split it up that way. This and the Major scale exercises were really helpful, I’ve been trying them out in other keys too
