Question on BAC Water Standards
I’ve seen recommendations stating that only Hospira-brand bacteriostatic water should be used for peptide reconstitution. I’m trying to better understand the rationale behind this.
The bacteriostatic water I’ve used from Ion Peptides is accompanied by an independent Certificate of Analysis (Freedom Diagnostics), including USP <85> endotoxin testing with passing results. From a sterility and endotoxin standpoint, can you help clarify why this would still be considered insufficient compared to Hospira?
Is the concern primarily related to FDA approval and cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing standards, rather than the actual chemical or microbiological quality of the water itself?
I want to be sure I’m understanding the distinction correctly and following best practices.— Dena
